Reno highest in construction job losses

A new report ranks the Reno-Sparks area as the hardest hit when it comes to percentage of lost construction jobs in the recession.The report released Wednesday by the Associated General Contractors of American put the northern Nevada area 337th among metropolitan areas for the percentage of construction jobs lost in the past year.

From August 2008 to August 2009, the report says Reno lost 35 percent of its construction work force.
